I think this is a great idea for bonding with your daughter if it’s something you both are definitely set on ๐

That’s one of the best hannyas I’ve ever seen, I love the placement and the way it fits round the shape of your calf! The shading and reflections are so beautiful and give it such a sense of depth and realism. Great piece, truly amazing work.

That is going to look absolutely superb when it’s done ๐ I love the colours they used in the flowers – they almost look like they’re glowing from the center. The shading all over is gorgeous.

Oh wow, I love this one ๐ I think if might say a lot about your sense of humour and the concept is fantastic. I can only imagine how the texture of the scarred skin adds something extra to how the tattoo looks and feels!

Question: should I start a new thread for it elsewhere? Where’s best? ๐

Glad to hear you’re thinking of taking the proper route to become a tattoo artist.Yes, you can post questions about how to get your apprenticeship or make yourself more desirable as an apprentice applicant. Questions about stuff like that and about how to create your portfolio/show it are completely fine.
