Thanks everyone! I’m really excited about it.
I’ve definitely seen worse. Not too bad for your first piece but you should definitely still look at it as something to learn from and improve on. You can get much better work than this. Good luck!

We could tell.
No, I was just going by what you said in your original post.
Your artist forgot the apostrophe and apparently thought “do is” is one word. Ruined an otherwise sound tattoo.
I’m just kidding, that sucks.
Also: what is “loue”? And good luck with “youv” life.
That first one is awful, you should beat the shit out of your friend for recommending that. AND he tattoos out of his house. Holy shit your friend is a jackass(and if we’re looking at the same rose, then you need to re-evaluate roses). http://instagram.com/p/Ty88BoTVow/
The second one’s the best.
The 2 artists on the last site are also fucking terrible. Who the fuck would recommend this shit?
Just look at how flat the first and last artists tattoos are. You want that shit to POP! IN YOUR FUCKING FACE. Also, look how sketchy those lines are. You want some jagged fucked up lines that look like a 4 year old drew them?
I suppose that’s true. I’ve always seen is as more brutal honesty(which I think is necessary with all the shitty tattoos these days).
This was very old, sir. I think this rule has kinda faded away a tad bit.
Luckily I only got 1 tattoo before I started going to top notch artists. It will be one of the best decisions you ever make. You may spend more money, you will have longer waits, and you might have to travel. It will be completely worth it!
I got a pretty good laugh at this thread, for some reason.
An hour’s not bad at all! For my last piece I drove nearly six hours to get my work done, and then six hours back. If you don’t think the trip is worth making to get the work done by a truly amazing artist, maybe you need to rethink this whole thing!
