If that is the case I believe you could have a well done looking tattoo.

You should be able to find an artist that will tattoo this symbol on you, I really don’t see anything offensive about it.

Maybe change up the color in the background, I think it will translate to a tattoo a little bit better that way.

I really don’t think tribal is the common denominator between hearts and chipmunks, though. It really just doesn’t mesh, flowers or vines or something natural seems like it would make more sense.

I don’t know if it’s your tattoo that’s the entire problem though. The original image itself isn’t immediately recognizable to me, and if you hadn’t said it was a fire dancer I don’t think I would have guessed it.

Your name may be unique, but tattooing it across your back is not.
There are far more exciting things you can put on your back while still incorporating your heritage.

It looks like a cross in the middle.
It’s hard to tell the design on the outside is a a rose vine though.

Do you plan on doing it in black and gray, because I really think color might make what you’re going for more clear.

I don’t think it would be too masculine at all. As long as the tattoo is on a woman, it seems feminine to me.

As far as the OP is concerned, I do think cherry blossoms are feminine if they are not background or detail.
Having cherry blossoms intertwined with text sounds especially feminine to me, but, maybe you could get away with it if they were in black and gray or used muted tones with flowers that looked tattered or worn.
