I would say the tattoo goo is not worth it in this scenario, as your tattoo is likely to have some dropout, due to the placement. You might as well not fork over the extra cash for the brand name, when an ordinary moisturizer will be sufficient. You will likely have to touch it up regardless of the product you use.

Of course it hurts. Needles are jabbing ink into you for extended periods of time.

You don’t need the numbing cream, plenty of people get on with out it.
Pain tolerance is different from person to person, though, so what may hurt me might not hurt you, and visa versa.

Something like that is probably do-able, and way better than what you’ve got going on right now. You might have the hit it with a laser, first, though.
