Hey, Had no idea about the koi variants of upstream and downstream involving different things, so thanks for that. The koi was actually designed as a 3/4 sleeve fitting piece, with the windbars at the top fitting around a shoulder

Clay, that’s exactly what my situation is. I have fallen in love with art and really want to do everyting I can to be the best I can be. I’ve found that my family and friends all give me shit for wanting to pursue it seriously due to the whole ‘ doesn’t lead anywhere situation”. However I believe you can make it lead somewhere if you work hard enoygh. I really do feel like tattooing is my calling and something I can seriously see myself in one day. Thanks so much for your comments

Thanks for the feedback. I’m actually trying to get into a fine art course at university starting next septemeber! I applied for biology and have totally taken to art now and have fire in my eyes for it, I really want to become better and I am really working my ass off right now. All I do is read and draw at the minute it seems!

Spoke to my tattooist when i went back to get my half sleeve worked on and he said im getting better and have real potential and he reckons id be able to apprentice, just need to keep drawing!

Well im 18 years old so ive got a good few years left to improve before i can think about doing an apprenticeship… i’ve never taken an art class, i study biology chemistry and philosophy and art is more of a lifelong passion, i simply cant see myself doing science as a career and i really feel that tattooiing is something i could be good at and have a real passion for. Where do i start? I really don’t have the money to join an art class so surely there has to be a way of teaching myself to improve? I really don’t mean to be an annoyance, i just want to get better.
