Personally not a traditional type of gal- but I can appreciate nice work! Looks awesome. Love the idea of the lighthouse on the reverse, can’t wait to see it!

Welcome! I like that tattoo is good, but it’s a bit busy and artsy for my taste. I prefer more realistic styles but so long as the tattoo is done by a talented artist, most people will appreciate good artwork regardless of the style. Hope you get some ink soon and you’ll share with us!

I would never ever get work like that, you couldn’t pay me to. You can check out my profile for my tattoo, which is a million light years from this scratching. 🙂

It is absolutely terrible, and this guy has been at it for YEARS. It looks like a toddler drew it on. He fucked up the transition from the U the N, its all thick. And even just the composition of the tattoo is painful to look at.

…Other than that, yes, very pretty. I hated Vermont growing up there, but it’s nice and I miss it now. Mostly the people. Us Vermonters are a special kind 🙂

Thinking Huntington Beach or Los Angeles. Beautiful beach, plenty to do and a Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Location to work at. Sounds perfect. Granted, I have a feeling it’ll be hard to find a house with a yard with any real land around it. Ahh, a worry for another day. Either that, or the coast of North Carolina or South Carolina. Maybe even Australia…or Hawaii 🙂

I don’t really like it, and find that it isn’t done very well. It isn’t a TERRIBLE tattoo, but it’s nothing remarkable. Maniacthw didn’t start out trying to be a dick…it escalated, but those who possess 100% honesty…are always misunderstood and called rude, jerks…or worse. You will probably not like this forum if you get offended that easily.

Many of our comments don’t take our personal preferences into account. There are some crazy amazing Japanese style tattoos on some of our more regular members that are out of this world. But I don’t actually like Japanese tattoos at all. And everybody has their likes and dislikes. I’m sure many people don’t like skeletons, but fuck it, it’s my leg.

Just because it’s good, does not mean it’s liked. Just because it’s liked, does not mean it’s good.

But here you will find respect for solid, well done tattoos-regardless of the person’s preference.

Tattoos ARE addicting. I was addicted before my first 🙂

Would you rather have random people on the internet help improve your art now, or get laughed out of a studio one day?

We don’t try to kick the newcomers, but brutal honesty is the best policy. And is quite possibly, a mandatory rule on this forum.

Practice more, and show us assholes what you’re capable of doing! 🙂
