I have found from my own studies that tattooing is much more sociably acceptable in the USA and Canada than in the UK. I’d say that the harder a tattoo is to cover, the more socially unacceptable it is.
But as has been already mentioned, there’s going to be a large variance depending on geographical and social factors.
I’m a juggler in my spare time, and a great many of my friends wouldn’t give a second thought to any tattoos or piercings they encounter, whereas…[Read more]

I like it a lot. The tribal influence is clear, but it goes beyond that into something that’s unique to you.
Outside of that – never mind what other people say about it. Your opinion is paramount. If you’ve got a tattoo seeking the approval of others, you’re doomed to fail, but if you’ve got it for yourself, it’s something you can appreciate…[Read more]

Yeah – were I back in Edinburgh I wouldn’t have any problem asking my original artist to do what I want – particularly after spending so much time in his company. It just feels odd to me starting out again with a relative stranger, especially when I’m skirting an area that’s so sensitive to me.
Funnily enough I don’t have any problems with…[Read more]

Ypu won’t even feel it. The spine is very easy to ink and should only tak a few hours. I know a guy that can scratch that baby out in his kitchen for $250.00. That means you’ll have enough left to buy the beer.My tattoo only covered a small part of my spine and hurt like hell.
Just FYI – everyone is different.

It’s easy for me to judgmental but the images you posted strike me as very generic designs.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t use any of them, but as an exercise, try to conceive of a design or image that would appeal to you if you could’t use a design in tribal style for example. Whatever you choose is going to be with you a for a very long time to…[Read more]

I’d always be upfront. In the UK I’ve always had to sign a form disclosing this sort of information, and regardless, I’d rather make sure the artist is aware of what they’re getting into so they can take what additional precautions they deem necessary.
If they turn you down – so be it. It should be their decision to make.
