Yeah guys I wouldn’t worry about the healing. I do know everyone heals differently but I wouldn’t worry. I have found the colors have healed better then my black tribal. The only spots I find scab and take a long time to heal are the spots that move and where the skin would stretch the most. I guess I am a good healer lol.
Arni – The colors healed great. The only spot I had trouble with was the green leaf up above the snake. From me opening and closing my arm all day made it scab badly but didn’t lose any color. The colors healed without a scab. I was very surprised.
Thanks Dizzi. I can’t wait to get them all tattooed on me. Hard going back and forth to the arm and leg. Think I will have the first skull completed within the next few weeks. Just have to find sometime to get to him to get it finished.
Thanks D.
Oh I know it is.. I don’t even want to know or remember how much money and time I have on my body so far. And the funny thing is I’m not even close to being done.
Thanks everyone.
I’m pretty happy thus far with it. I just can’t wait until it’s all done so I can move onto another scene. I still have to go and start my DOTD scene which is started but not nearly complete. I find I like to jump around with my tattoos and go get work done on what ever scene I am feeling that day/week. I guess I should book an appointment for some ink time this week.
Thanks Matt.
Yeah that’s what we are hoping. I don’t care if it takes 5 more sessions it will be gone lol.
I can’t wait until we add the monkey, sloth and fill in the background. I still have alot of hours to go but it’s worth it.
Well I went and had a little session last weekend. Had the birds colored in and the under belly of the frog done. The frog is being done in 2 sessions. The first with a light base and next with a bit more white. You can still see my old baseball tattoo but it will be gone soon. The first cover up wasn’t dark enough. Here are the pictures.
I was thinking about it but where it’s on my calf it would be hard to put the 3 women there. I was going to do that one up on my upper leg where there is more room. My artist wants to put it across my upper back but I am saving my back for another large scene. lol
Do you mean what does day of the dead stand for?? If so it’s a religous day the Maxicians celerbrate there dead family, friends, etc. It’s huge in Mexico.
Thanks. I’m very impressed with the turn out as well.
I was never a huge fan of them until my cousin’s Mexician girlfriend told me all about the meanings of them and the Day of the Dead. It’s very interesting.
Very cool. Love to see what you would have added to it. Micheal Myers would be a good person to add to it.. 🙂
I would say it’s personal prefference. Now me personally wouldn’t. I care about my health too much to have that done outside. Like you said, there are way to many variables to consider if/when you get a tattoo outside. I’m not even a fan of getting them at any events inside or out. Way to many distractions and people around for my liking. All those many people and god knows what sicknesses they have. I prefer at my artists shop where I know it’s a safe clean enviroment.
That’s my .02
WOW dude I love your choice of tattoo.. I love space as well, ever since I was a kid. I use to go out in the fields and just stare up into it. You totally stole my idea ha-ha just messing.
I can’t wait to see it finished. Your artist is doing a fantastic job. Once that is all colored in it’s going to look great.
Now about all you guys talking about sitting times. I have yet to sit any less then 4 hours. I must have a high tollerance for pain. I find around the 6 hour mark I’m hurtin though. I sit so long because my artisit is a 2 hour each way drive for me and I make the most of it when I am there. I usually go see him once or twice a month. My friend that is working on my day of the dead leg sleeve is a 10 minute drive from me.. I like that lol.
Anyway can’t wait to see it when it’s finished. Keep up with the updates.
When will you start expanding it?
Thanks man. I was very surprised with the turn out of it. A really good friend of mine did this. I was very hessitant to have him do it as he hasn’t been tattooing very long. After I seen some of his work I gave him a try. Well it turned out great and now I’m going to let him do the whole leg.
Here is the next piece I will be having him do. The skull will be repolaced with the second picture.
I have a few more pictures picked but I’ll wait until I finalize them before I show ya’s.. :p
