However, I’ve mainly just stuck to halterneck-bras, and I keep them a bit loose. The halterneck keeps the bra in place, so you don’t need to have it too tight around your back 🙂
When my tattoo was completely fresh, I just kept the bra loose, and had some bandages on the inside of it.
wow! this i guess is the most qualified reply. please take it!
thanks man! think i was a bit paranoid those scabs would ruin the tattoo, but all’s well, they fell off and tat looks all good!, just had another 4 hours added, just gotta make sure to clean and moisturise more this time round 🙂
You’re doing fine don’t worry. I was once paranoid like yourself when i got my first tattoo but i understand, because its on you for life and of course you want it perfect!
Cheers!
Welcome!
I’m pretty new myself, and i realised toomanynotenough is extremely active around here!
Your tattoo looks kinda cool. But yeah it’s quite difficult to see much from these pictures.
would suggest you go back to your artist if you’re worried.
Hi Ambient,
this definitely looks okay to me. You should be feeling slightly itchy too, it’s perfectly fine.
Hey there.
I would love to help you with your next tattoo design but it seems hard because you didn’t say what type of tattoo you like or whichever location you’re going to have it at.
Kindly let us know more.
Well, i would put it at one month.
Provided you clean it properly, observe proper tattoo aftercare and wear loose clothing and all.
You defiinitely sound new and i do not recommend you going for a tattoo without first finding out what it entails. Basically prior to tattoo you have to think of your designs, placement of your tattoo etc. Then doing the actually inking is another thing. You have to find out the cost of your local tattoo parlour, anasethetics and stuff. You want a safe experience and definitely no surprises. Next is tattoo aftercare. you have to learn about the things to do to ensure a speedy recovery. Oh yes before that, you may have to get it sketched on you in black, then wait sometime before colouring takes place. ALl this depends on your artist. Also you have to know about tattoo removal and coverups. By looking around here, you can find out from other members that shit does happen. Your artist may screw up. All this are too much for me to tell you here but basically these are the things you got to know. May sure you do your research. Grab a book if you need to.
Remember, you don’t want no surprises.
From a tattoo artist’s point of view, you DEFINITELY do not want to have something rubbing against your freshly inked skin, it would hurt, it may scab, scar, and all things nasty. Abrasion must definitely be avoided so you would have to go strapless for sometime.
Hey, i don’t think that’s a concern for you since you do not have severe back acne. If you are prone to having back acne though, you might want to take note that abrasion and irritation would definitely cause more of it.
You may want to consult your dermatologist for his opinion first before doing anything.
Alternatively, you can just have your tattoo somewhere else.
Yep – if you have questions or comments for me, feel free to drop them here. Some people have critical comments, others have questions, but I’m happy to receive them and learn from them nonetheless.
What i was trying to suggest was having a meaning for your first tattoo, if say you got no clue.
Of course personally i do have some tattoos that simply look nice and have no meanings to it at all whatsoever, but hey, that’s not where i started. 😉
Wow Pox, i gotta say that your comment was interesting. How then does the community of tattoo artists react to that, i wonder?
Well anyway maybe i used the wrong word. I shouldn’t say scared. I mean, if i’m gonna let you poke me with needles, i gotta have to make sure you’re certified! There’s no going around this.
What i really meant was , because usually friends are the ones who bring me to tattoo artists, so these tattoo artists are friends of my friends. This means that i have to show a certain level of trust because it would be rude to ‘not trust my friend’ so to speak. More of a human relations things.
But i’m sure there’re right methods to use though… just haven’t found it
Wow, are you guys serious? This is something new for me. I didn’t know that in some places there are no formal tattoo artists. Funny, does that mean the industry is not popular there or anything (like goes again religion etc)? . Anyway, in Singapore approved tattoo artists must definitely have the proper certifications and must display them up somewhere easily visible. That’s the standard. There are however also cheap, uncertified tattoo artists who set up a table at the roadside and start inking customers! Usually foreigners because the implications of such an act are pretty serious.
