Actually there’s a priest here in Norway who just wrote a book who looks totally metal. Tattoos all over, full sleeve. Not too uncommon here amongst the younger ones. You’d probably have to be a priest of a liberal convention though to be accepted for it. ๐
Wow, it’s been forever since I was in here. Decided to post the pictures after all.
Sorry for the bad pics, the only ones I have ATM.
6 months in I am absolutely happy with it, but there are still some issues with one of the lines I want to get fixed. I have also considered expanding on it, making it more than just a “line tattoo”, but on the other hand I am afraid it will look weird on my leg (because it is already quite big). Maybe it’s better to have a simpler one like this.
Apparently hers has oozed quite a bit the first two days (not as much today, the third day) while mine has barely oozed at all still… Picture of mine:
It stands out slightly, as in I can feel the contours of the tattoo when I pull my finger over it. It has been a bit itchy for the last couple of days, but no scabbing (and, as previously mentioned, virtually no oozing).
Terrible picture quality – sorry about that. It is still slightly reddish too, especially in the bandana.

very unique design ๐ there a story behind yer design choice? It is a Sick tat, clean lines, nice color! Grats on yer first, there addicting.
Thanks! There is a story behind why I chose a whale, but it’s sort of a story I don’t have an urge to share with the world ๐ When it comes to design I actually had something quite different in mind, but the tattoo studio explained why what I wanted would be difficult and suggested a design somewhat similiar to this. I really liked the style of it so I gave them the green light to make a design for me. So I hadn’t imagined before I scheduled that it would look like this (first of all I was planning to have it horizontally), but I am really happy with the work they did! Giving them the freedom to do what they do best really worked out ๐
It seems like the picture stopped working for some reason. Here it is again:
Thanks folks! ๐
The artist is Phil Collins of Spilled Ink in Dublin. I think all the guys in that studio are good, and they have private rooms (which at least for me, since I was kind of nervous, was a blessing). Recommended for anyone who might or might not pass through the city for some reason ๐
