Ok let me try this again. You will not spend “thousands” of dollars on lightening a 4″x4″ tattoo enough for a sweet coverup. It will be hundreds of dollars.

Thousands? Have you ever priced laser treatments? My guy would probably do 50-75$ a session.

Yeah i have a realism piece on my left hand and while it did hold fairly well a lot of the gradation splotched out and i lost a lot of color in the webbing at my thumb. I wont have my hand second passed. F that haha. I think traditional is the best bet for hands. Bold will hold.

Ive done a couple laser sessions and the most ive ever spent on a session was $200. On my forearm. It hurts like getting popped with a rubberband 10 times per second. But its really fast.

10 days till due south. I am excite.

Laser is quite affordable these days and will greatly increase the possibilities of the coverup. Dont have to remove it but a couple sessions to lighten it will really help any coverup be effective.
Its not that dark to begin with. How big is it?
