No, not my own. I have zero artistic ability. I knew I wanted a shark tattoo, but hadn’t decided on what. I didn’t want anything too common. I stumbled upon this guy in a google image search and fell in love. The original art had an orange and red counterpart of a different species that was quite striking as well.

Nice! The shading took an interesting concept and made it look phenomenal. You’re a better man than I (I’m not a man at all 😉 ) for dealing not just with that much sitting, but for living through all of the itching. You’d have had to chain me belly down to keep me from scratching all of that.

I have some waves and my artist didn’t use white ink, just let the skin show through. It would seem to me, that on fair skin, that’s a pretty common practice.

Loved my first tat and wound up being disappointed that not many people got to see it.

Got a second one on the right shoulder. I love it. Of course, this one did get a little red and had a lot more bleeding. The last tat never scabbed or bled.

Ha ha. I got the cart before the horse. I was looking at the first pic and thinking, “My God, it’s great, why is he covering that up? I don’t see how it’s rastafari” then I scrolled down. Doh! Sleeve is looking great though!

In love with saltwater. We off shore fish, spend a lot of time in the Keys and on the Gulf Coast, I volunteer at the GA Aquarium and Warm Springs Hatchery, and own several saltwater tanks. Saltwater’s a big part of my life, at least the fun part.

Not even itching today. Peeling pretty well. I see specks when I put on lotion. Zero scabbing so far.

I would be down for reading. Again, first timer here, but I know several people with full sleeves, themed tattoos, and such that might like to be included.

Wow! Excellent work! I browsed the forums for a bit before posting, and I have to say good choice for a first tat! I saw a lot more that were poorly drawn or executed. Subject matter aside, (although I love the design as well), it’s great art! Almost five hours on a first run too! Congrats!
