love the feedback, guys! I’m dreading the upcoming cold weather when I’ll have to cover it.
Thanks so much! It took my mom a hint and a couple of minutes to figure it out.
My first tat was on the lower back and wasn’t bad at all.
Appreciate it!
That is one beautiful pic and it would be an honour to use that in an up coming project I am working.
Full accreditation will be given to yourself and artist – it looks really sweet.
Personally I would just class it as custom with tribal influences – but yep it looks like a shark to me.
I think because it is so eye catching that people are getting absorbed in the details without the mind looking at it as a whole – sign of great art.
Take Care

forwarding this thread to him now!
No, not my own. I have zero artistic ability. I knew I wanted a shark tattoo, but hadn’t decided on what. I didn’t want anything too common. I stumbled upon this guy in a google image search and fell in love. The original art had an orange and red counterpart of a different species that was quite striking as well.
Cliff at New Addiction Tattoo in Marietta did this for me. He said it wound up being a lot more labor intensive than he originally thought. I absolutely love it, although some people don’t quite get what it is at first. I thought it was pretty clearly a hammerhead shark, am I wrong?
Oh, honey! I’m so sorry! You’re such a beautiful girl and these aren’t good. I can’t imagine how bad they hurt and to get them covered up is going to be much worse. Please, please, don’t go back to the original artist. His drawing AND tattoo skills are way behind. Sherav had some good ideas for a cover up, but don’t let that guy work on you anymore.
It’s not all bad though, at least it’s a bad tattoo on a smokin’ hot girl!
Both of mine started peeling after three days.
Nice! The shading took an interesting concept and made it look phenomenal. You’re a better man than I (I’m not a man at all 😉 ) for dealing not just with that much sitting, but for living through all of the itching. You’d have had to chain me belly down to keep me from scratching all of that.
Sherav,
Absolutely. Give me a few days to get past peeling, and I’ll have my husband photograph both again. Would make much better images!
Thanks for the input!
By no means am I an expert, but if you can’t spare the $.97 for a three pack of dial anitbacterial (or perhaps the time to go to the store) I would think it’s not the end of the world. The point of the soap is to keep it clean and free of infection with as little irritation as possible. You have an open wound and that skin is going to be more prone to infection and allergic reactions. An allergic reaction can cause you to be mucho uncomfortable and may cause blemishes that will damage your tattoo during healing.
Keep it clean, and if you can use the baby wash (I would expect it to be pretty mild) just watch for signs of irritation. I hope, of course, that you’ve already remedied this situation by now, though.
I have some waves and my artist didn’t use white ink, just let the skin show through. It would seem to me, that on fair skin, that’s a pretty common practice.
Loved my first tat and wound up being disappointed that not many people got to see it.
Got a second one on the right shoulder. I love it. Of course, this one did get a little red and had a lot more bleeding. The last tat never scabbed or bled.
Feels good now though and it hasn’t really hurt after the fact like the first one did. Guess it’s all about placement.
I apologize for the bad pic, but I was at home, alone, trying to take it with an iphone in the mirror. My artist snapped a couple of pics, but I didn’t get a copy.
BTW, I’m very impressed by him. Cliff at New Addiction Tattoo in Marietta,GA
