As for the sexuality thing, you WILL get weird looks and odd comments on it from ignorant fools, but if you are authentically proud of your own sexuality (whatever it may be) then you do not need to worry about it. I have a whole sleeve planned which will ‘look extremely gay!” to many people. I don’t care though, since I am very comfortably straight 🙂
yeah thats what i was really thinking just needed some affirmation i think. i really dont care about what the vast majority of people think because if i did i wouldnt get tattoos anyway cause you will be judged negatively occasionally for having them but if you dont have them no one really cares.
im straight too, though it doesnt matter. i do think though that the male body(a nice one) is like a work of art i mean thats why i lift weights and watch what i eat and stuff. thats why i like that sculpture so much. at least one of the reasons.
on a side note what do you have planned for the sleeve?
thanks. but the summer job was just an example of how it would be perceived not my main issue at all. i was thinking more about the big picture.
the artist will probably want to decide a lot of this stuff, i think you have a good enough idea of what you want to go in and get him drawing some stuff up for you. they know better than you what looks good and what you may want trust me.
try searching stitchpunk instead, thats the subgroup that the 9 stuff is i think. if you end up getting any ink like this post it ide love to see how it turns out
all that popped into my head was a phoenix. but thats sort of overdone.
…and btw NBD but its ‘birth’ not berth
dude i just read this whole thread i think you should seriously consider returning to the fire, water, cherry blossom idea i loved that i was psyched to see that lol.
not sure about the OPs question not from hawaii sorry, but to the other poster; its not just texans im from long island and im planning on eventually getting the outline of the island incorporated into a tattoo, and ive seen other people with similar LI stuff too
hmmm maybe ill hold off on this tattoo for now. not that i really want to be influenced by what others may think but i wanted to be able to show it off a lot without any possible shame. perhaps ill come back to this idea when im more mature and older. it is really cool just cause its such an iconic image and instantly recognizable and meaningful but still like NO ONE has it for a tattoo
i go to tattoo lous as well, cole did my tat and im hoping he’ll be around to do my next!
haha come on DMD that would be silly, very untrue to the real life sculpture! plus it would turn david from an old testament hero and pillar of masculinity into an androgynous freak!
thanks for the advice guys, the working with kids thing is a summer job but it is one i do every summer since i was 15 and i will continue to do it until i am out of college, 3 more summers. thats not the biggest issue though, the real thing is like is it a good idea to have the penis tattooed in the first place? ide like to keep the ridicule to a minimum lol
just wanted to hear peoples perceptions of the piece with and without a fig leaf and how it will be perceived.
