Check out the Chinese Five Elements, also known as the Wu Xing.

Metal could also be portrayed as the Forge and hammer, which could be part of a medieval/norse theme?

We stayed with the Japanese theme. I let her choose a few different images. We found a Japanese landscape painting she loved, and combined it with an engraved ‘rising sun’ theme. She’s happy, and thinks it’s super-cool, so I convinced her it was my idea and ran with it. 🙂 I’ll post up the template we’re working from, and show you when it’s finished.

Yeah, I was looking for something more Manga. Too cutesy would ruin my street cred… 😉
Here was a Ghibli style character I started drawing up for my youngest daughter. I’m trying to ‘man’ it up. (The style, not the cute girl) 🙂

A well-done pinup could take longer than 8 hours. (Depending on size) …and save up for it. 🙂
Take your time choosing at artist. If you’re looking outside your local area, then I recommend looking at David Corden. He works at Ritual Art LINK

I’m only mentioning him again because I got to see him working here…[Read more]

I have always been a fan of christina aguilera in this video. It’s a classic pose with a modern twist.
David Corden is a true master artist when it comes to pin-up girls. He’s based in the UK, and an all-round nice bloke. http://tattoosnob.com/tag/david-corden/

I dont know what else will flow with it to make a full sleeve? any ideas? If you want to keep with the Japanese theme, have a look online at traditional Japanese paintings. The style and colours they use could easily match your more modern piece. Or, have a look at some Geisha to go on your forearm.

That line work is amazing. You going for colour or shade?
