It really depends on where you work. For me, 90% of my time at work is spent in a secure facility. I wear shorts or jeans and a shirt or hoodie. No one cares what I wear or if I have tattoos. How about a totem pole, with different pieces in representation of the challenges you’ve faced? I don’t know you, so it’s hard for me to suggest the individual pieces, but you could build from the bottom up, which leaves room to add on later if you so choose.
