I shouldn’t have thought it would be a problem to be honest but if you want to take something to make it more comfortable I don’t see that your artist would be too upset about it as long as whatever you use doesn’t get in their way?

yeh this is the problem, finding an artist anywhere isn’t necessarily the problem, finding a good and consistent artist is the problem! Helps to have some insider knowledge with these things I think!

Never been an apprentice myself but 2 years does seem an awfully long time, especially on 60 hours a week, I don’t know of anyone that puts in that amount of time and gets no tattooing time for two years. She should be spending a lot of that time drawing and painting rather than managing to get a little done each day. I would tell her to move on too…

As long as you tell them the elements you want included let them come up with a composition, artists always do a better job on their own original works than things they have copied anyway I think because they’re more personally involved in the project.
