Tattoos have gained social recognition in the last decade
Especially ever since actors, actresses and famous people are getting tattooed.
In a country like India (where I belong to) tattooing is the latest fashion among all the socioeconomic classes
For example, about a decade ago there were hardly 5-10 tattoo parlors in the famous beach destination – Goa
And today the number exceeds 100, and most customers are Indians
Tattooing business is flourishing in all major cities, at least in India
I am sorry I forgot to mention
The eagle is about 20 years old, done in Goa, India
The Om and Ganesha is recent and yet to heal
Copyrighting a tattoo is a tricky subject
I have 2 points to make
If at all a tattoo is to be copyrighted, who should claim its copyright?
The tattoo artist or the person who possesses that tattoo?
Secondly, if you change a few lines here & there or change the background or the colour scheme; and make it appear different, then it can be a different art
Sam-I-Am,
They are done about 12 days ago
You are right. The Om is little blown away
Being your first tattoo, I appreciate the big size you have chosen!
Great work!
Will look good once healed!
I liked the beard & the 3 white teeth!!
The white highlighting of the roses is just too good!
The flame of the candle is gorgeous!!
Nice line work. Would love to see full coloured!
Beautiful work! Perfect replica! Both of you now have reason to be proud of each other!
The blue shading on the face is simply amazing! I’m sure the final product will be a master piece!
When you tattoo a particular design / figure etc on you, it is your decision at that moment, and you enjoy it for the rest of your life
Likewise, when you tattoo your partner’s name on you, it is out of intense love at that particular moment.
Tomorrow even if you split, you can’t erase those intense lovely moments from your mind or life, that you have lived & enjoyed together.
I see no problem in having such good memories tattooed on me forever.
Yes, me & my wife have a massive size (5 x 2 inches) names of each other tattooed on our forearms.
We enjoy it and are proud of it, as we love each other.
