I would say that the tattoo world is probably fairly male dominated, yeah. I haven’t come across any female artists in real life but I know of several. I actually played a video game when I had my last piece done and it worked wonders. My tattooist doesn’t really talk much other than letting me know what’s going on if I can’t see, so I just sat and played my 3ds the whole time and it worked wonders. Don’t know how to compare really, as I don’t have the most experience, but my owl piece, which is about 7-8 inches tall by about 3-4 wide and full colour took at most 4 hours over 2 sessions.
