Got my first this year at 51.

Some of my family say I did it because I am going through mid-life crisis. If it wasn’t for a shops mess-up I would of had my 1st 20+ years ago. But with their scheduling problem I walked out and just didn’t really think about again until this year.

Welcome. 51 here and got my first a couple of months ago. Already in the beginning stages of planning my second.

Did you research this person first? Not just a portfolio look on their website or at their location, but looking online/etc for reviews and opinions? Did you know anybody personally who got ink from her? Not that any of that matters now, but I’m curious.

Now having done my 1st tattoo I truly know the meaning of “earning your tattoo”. It was worth the pain/annoyance/whatever you want to call it to be happy with the end result that will hopefully look good for decades to come.

I was annoyed. It felt the same for the two hours I was lying there – it felt like somebody was drawing on me with a hot pen. I kept on thelling my tattoo artist that I just wanted to smack him because he was annoying me 🙂

My wife wasn’t thrilled with my daughter and I getting our first ones together in July. She does like our tattoos but in general she has always said she doesn’t like them.
