Honestly, it’s not bad work at all. Butterflies and fairies (and other things with big, pretty, delicate looking wings) are super easy tattoo ideas to mangle, IMO, and I’ve seen a lot of horrible examples of that over the years. Don’t be afraid to visit your tattoo artist for a touch-up on the existing chest piece and ask his advice in regard to an update and/or expansion. If he’s any good, he should be able to suggest some imagery that complements the art already there. It’s just a matter of getting those creative juices flowing. Good luck! =]
