I can see it now, there’s a definite kink on the fletching side. The lines off the sun are definitely uneven and one more above than below the arrow. I’m not too experienced with tattoo trouble, but I wager it might be able to be remedied a bit with some thicker lines or by covering them with an altered design.

I looked them up, they seem interesting. I’m not to concerned with starting safe, gauges are just personal choice, I don’t like how they look.

Well, I’ve continued to develop the idea for my use, I think it’d look better as a pair of sleeves as apposed to a single piece, add some actual separation to Echo and Narcissus.

Well, I don’t see anything wrong with either of your tattoos, but I am fairly new to this. That being said, Allie, your experience sounds completely normal, I lost skin throughout the first week of mine healing, and my shop actually encouraged getting it wet and cleaning it in the shower, just carefully, and not letting it stay wet for very long. If anything goes wrong with it, you’ll notice. Especially with a small tattoo like that, mine is about the size of a softball, and fairly detailed, imperfections get lost.

Got my first two weeks ago, and I’m hungry for more! I got plans for my whole back, it’s going to be a fun time for all of us! But yeah, near the spine hurt, I’m not looking forward to that…

Well, I’ve been going with a mythological theme for my ideas, so maybe narcissus and echo? That could present an interesting opportunity, having echo shaded to appear as if she’s disappearing…
Actually, don’t use my idea, I want it…
(Jk, I might use it now but idc if you do)

I’m with tatbot, I love the level of detail my artist put into mine, but a higher level of detail would require a larger amount of space, and if you’re just doing your forearm…
I’d suggest finding a new place for it, or maybe just a small piece of the picture, something that really pops to you.
And good luck.

Well, I can’t offer much advice, just got my first tattoo yesterday after all… But there are knowledgeable people on this forum, and they will answer you in, it just takes time. I will say, my tattoo was very red when I got it, but, less than 24 hours later it was looking better, so with hope you’ll see the same kind of lightening and everything else that I’m starting to see.
