it’s going to be black and gray

it was only 1 hour. its only the outline. im going back in a couple of weeks. this guy named Pat at Perkins Road Parlous in Baton Rouge, LA did it.

there’s rebel ink and urban ink, thats what i look at usually.

talked to the artist and another artist in the shop and they said it’d look a lot better in black and grey cause of my skin tone and the yellows and oranges wouldnt show up well on my skin. and thats what i was leaning towards a bit too. but thanks guys!

im in a reall dilemma haha. i have seen black and white phoenix’s and they look really good IMO and i also like the colorful ones, but since that my leg is a little on the darker side form playing football, i might end up leaning towards the shading.

i went to the artist this saturday for the drawing, but now, i can’t decide to either do color or black&white. i think either way that it’ll turn out really good but i cant decide which i would rather. any opinions??

i’ve heard of some people using numbing lotions or whatever but i heard that it really messes with the skins texture and it has problems holding the ink. pain is all relative though. im not trying to discourage or anything just a little heads up.

first off, i like the idea. but getting it on the rib cage for a first tattoo isn’t something i’d advise. i first wanted a phoenix on my ribs thinking it was a unique place fora tattoo, but the artist wouldn’t do such a big piece on my ribs for my first tattoo. after reconsideration, i’ve changed the location to my leg which im still working on…[Read more]

yea, thats what my plan. Its going on the inside of my left calf and dont want it too wide in case i want something on the outside of my calf. Im guessing around 3×3 inches give or take half an inch. state flag is a good idea.
