The wolf makes no sense than.
Why dont you continue the theme somehow with a car racing inspired type of design with symbols or elements of your homeland subtley embedded.
What do you think of this guy’s skills…Jamie “Ames” Navarro. Was at a tatto convention in Chicago over the weekend and he stood out to me. Surprised to see that he’s only been tattooing since the Winter of 2009….is that something to be concerned about?
Do a modern/abstract take on a smiley face.

Any opinions of Larry Brogan’s work? I’ve received a thumbs up from him with my concept and to get in touch later in the summer to book an appointment.
Oh man, Thanks so much for passing along Tim Biedron’s name…..he would absolutely kill my design idea I bet.
I think I may have found a good match for what I want done. Larry Brogan in Lockport, IL.

Description and rough initial pic here (B/W face want to remain as is, but would want the artist to put their spin on the colored background/depth/shading, etc.)…

Thanks for the thoughts, much appreciated.
I’m new to the tattoo world, so I’m still learning what to look for in artist’s skills.
I’m thinking of getting a piece done sometime in the near future so want to make sure I go to the right person (thread started in the Inked Skin section)

I’m accessible to Chicago and have no problem traveling there…are there any good artists or recommendations you have there that would be good?
Again, thanks for taking the time.
^to downriver….
Thanks for the thoughts man. Likin’ the second one a lot….the paint drip effect looks great and what I’m hoping can get conveyed in my design a bit with the extra shadowing and light highlights.
Nice work.
One other quick follow up question/thought…
I do want the girl to look Black and White as shown in the picture and prefer her face not take on my skin tone color (pale caucasion skin tone). Is it possible to pull this look off with shading and/or ink?
I’m personally not all that impressed with Laurent’s work. That Brett Favre tat is especially terrible.
Check out the pics of the artists at this place (Rockstar Tattoo in West Allis, WI), I’m curious if you feel they are good and which of them are the best at this place. Thanks much
