They’re pretty cartoony but I don’t think they really fit into a “style”. Sugar skull tattoos are pretty common, so the artist should know what you are talking about when you say it. Just find a good artist whose work you like and google some images. A good artist will do what you want, and you’ll know if you like it or not when they draw it up.
I don’t know what you should get.. but to me a small symbol under the eye always looks pretty cool.
The artist made a terrible mistake in doing that tatoo, even if it was what the customer wanted. A professional tatto artist would have reworked the design to make it look presentable, or wouldn’t have done the tattoo at all.
It would get rid of the ink, there might possibly be some scarring but that’s not a a very dark tattoo so I don’t think it will be that bad.
It’s not very good. I’d say laser it.
I’m loving this idea. Since you’re making it a half-sleeve, you really have room to go large with the pattern so it won’t blur over time. I would love to see this idea executed.
My tow cents: are the flames supposed to be pink? They look about the same color as the snake’s tongue… I would ask the artist to go over them with a darker red/orange so they look more like flames. Also, there is one spot to the right of the nine where i think the outline needs to be filled in again.
Other than that it’s not too bad.
Yes, the most respected way to become a tattoo artist is to get an apprenticeship at a shop (preferably a reputable one) and learn to in’s and out’s there. Most artists do not think highly of people who learn by practicing out of their houses and putting crappy / unsanitary tattoos on people.
Hello. =) I don’t think we’re allowed to discuss techniques/practices on this forum unless you are a professional tattoo artist with proof, and then you can only do it on the professional forums. So I’ll just say your best bet is to get an apprenticeship or ask around at some tattoo shops in your area.
Your second tattoo is insanely good. Do you mind giving more of an explanantion of what it is / what it symbolizes?
I like the designs, especially the Beetle however I would definitely want to see a picture of how the design translate onto the fabric before i buy the shirt. Perhaps put up pictures of the actual shirts once you have them made?
