My dad got his 40 year “chip” yesterday. My hero.

Quite an accomplishment, and has to be done day-to-day. Send my congrats to him!

I just wish they would get rid of the noise on the couches.

I’ve seen (much) worse. Hell, I HAVE much worse! It’s not all that bad and certainly should wait at least a month before touchups. Was your father perfect? I’d let the imperfections in the tattoo represent his.

I am conducting a research project on tattoos and their effect on our identity and sense of self. !

And you want people on the internet to do the work for you. Research once involved months, years of painstaking data collection and analysis. Now people write up a questionnaire and put it on a few web sites and expect others to do the work so they can draw what ever conclusion they had to start with from the stats.

There is one posted several times per year on most forums.

This is more aggravating than the pain from a tattoo.

You really should proof-read your page if you expect people to invest. Honestly, the app may seem cool and teeny boppers will love seeing how their feathers turning into birds tattoo will look if they get it, but a tattoo is only as good as the artist that does it, and the artist is the best judge of proper placement and fit. If that artist isn’t good, the tattoo won’t be. Technology won’t help that, and I seriously doubt it will help bring business to a shop. Fun to play with maybe, but serious business-building, no. Too much expense for development and no income – it will end up a .99 cent Amazon app that sells maybe 50 tops. None to artists or shops.

I seem to remember that white ink does not laser very well, although I doubt much has been worked on yet. Do research and make sure first! You don’t want to replace this with a scar. I’m seconding the sentiments that you go ahead and have it redone in color. Unless of course you want it to look like permanent henna, which is cool. At work, they will already know that you have it.

Time heals. I have one on my forearm that I really don’t like the execution of, but it has not put me off of more tattoos. As time passes, I really see it more and more as part of me. It is way too dark, but maybe I have some very dark areas to my personality. I would like to suggest that you get a good web cam and look at yourself as others will see you. You may find that the mirror is not the best way to look at a tattoo.

I’d suggest it go upper torso, chest, or arms. They seem to be the easiest healing. My submarine dolphins and patrol pin on my chest healed real easy @ 62, but I have no sugar problems. Also suggest you watch your diet very closely around tattoo and healing time.

Do you like it? With something so personal, it doesn’t really matter what the critics think, does it?

Good luck! I think this is promoted by the same folks that do the Knoxville convention. I went to the Knoxville convention last year on Friday night – it was a blast! I imagine Saturday afternoon crowds, late Saturday, and Sunday the folks can be a bit worn and edgy, but everyone was having fun on Friday evening! People enjoying their passion.

I pass out under extreme pain. I’ve done so three times. That said, the three tattoos I have so far have only been mild aggravation. Hydrate, go in rested and in a good frame of mind with a full belly (but, not overly so!) Trust the artist and enjoy the experience. Front of the thigh should be very easy to handle.

i don’t see how any purse strings are pulled in this case — n one in making anything out of it – the top dog of each branch can makes whatever changes they want in regards to their personnel’s code —we’re not talking about things the millions spent on making stupid uniform changes where people are making the $$$

Congress and senate appropriate the money for the military – pay and toys. They have a LOT of control through those purse strings. That is why any military installation turns itself inside -out when one of them wants to visit.

Yeah, until a bunch of congressmen and senators complain. The purse strings are strong.

Well, if not on your cheek – think of other places one would see a lip stick print. Breast, buttock, top of hand. Maybe top towards the back of your shoulder.
