if im 100% honest that can be saved and i actually really like it, if u just sharpen up some lines and a little touch up on color it could be cool.Wardy, can you be a bit more specific? Which lines could be sharpened up…all of them to give it a cleaner look? Same with the colour…?

Interesting discussion here.
I have two tattoos that are about 15 years old and due to being a cycling fanatic and not always that diligent with sunblock the ink has seen a lot of rays. But, maybe I’m just lucky or maybe ’cause they were done deep there’s been very little fading.
The new sleeve that was just completed, especially the forearm…[Read more]

WHATS THE TRIBUTE TO?and why? are you a mean person??
It’s a tribute to my Mom.
And, yes, sometimes I get grumpy and lose sight of the many ‘kindnesses’ I’ve recieved from others.

whats it mean? or you like everyone else and got it “cuz it looks pretty” haha…the entire tattoo….or the script?
The sleeve is a tribute piece.
The script is a phrase a Japanese friend wrote for me. It can be interpreted a few different ways depending on the context but for me it is a reminder to be kind to others.

Will have 2 large tattoos finished this year, after that I’ll probably stop for a while. My parent’s don’t even know about my tattoos and I don’t plan on telling them (they’ve both got serious heart conditions and I’m worried that I will kill them). They’re pretty traditional.

Welcome to the forum!I like your sleeves, nice traditional japanese work. There’s a few folk on this forum who don’t like japanese ink, I guess because its so common, but to me its one of the most beautiful styles.
Thanks Amok.
Do you have any tattoos, if so, would you consider adding a few to an album here on the forum?

An interesting thread!
Never think too much about age when I get on a forum with others who share a common interest.
But now that you bring it up…;)
I’m 55 and got my sleeve, my third and biggest tattoo, this year. At this point in my life I just feel like cuttng loose and doing what I want. I’m retired now so no worries about an employer…[Read more]

Thanks for the welcomes! 🙂
I’m really enjoying looking through the various photos folks here have up in their albums.
I’ve added a few photos of my sleeve and half sleeve to my own album now too…have a look, it’d be great to get some feedback (of course, don’t we all want to know what others, esp inked peeps, think of our tattoos?!:o).

Maybe seeing an overview of the sleeve will help.
There are puzzle pieces, three of them, floating from the forearm, and around the wrist from or to the banner. The banner is ‘complete’ near the top and then starts to break away into pieces of a puzzle near the bottom and then then the free floating puzzle pieces appear…. Does that help…[Read more]

ArniVidar, thanks for discussing why you don’t actually like those fitted together pix. I thought they were kind of the norm so its helpful to read your point of view explaining why you don’t like them.
I didn’t know about Paint.net – thanks for the link.
