Icelandic is quite similar to Norwegian. Icelandic has some words in common with all of the Scandinavian languages, as they all are based on old norse and well, they’re all north germanic languages.

and of all northern languages Icelandic is the most awesome and closest to what the Vikings spoke 😛

Jäg fattar det mesta och jäg har ingen problemer med att tala..

well, I’m Norwegian/Icelandic so i speak and read all the Scandinavian languages pretty well(Norwegian, Swedish, Danish + Icelandic and Faroese). and some German and Spanish and of course English 🙂

Regarding the raven back piece I am planning to have it black and gray… Don’t know about background yet, but i guess things will be sorted out when i start planning it with an artist.
