I don’t believe that tattoos need to have a meaning. Whenever someone tells me their tattoo has a deeper meaning, I kinda roll my eyes because the stories are either bullshit or a cliche. Of my own tattoos, only one has a meaning–the one me and my wife both got for our third wedding anniversery, and sometimes I roll my…[Read more] -

I’m sorry to hear that Matthew. You are one of the more passionate and helpful members based on my observations here. It’s really tragic that you are unable to get inked any more seeing as how passionate you are about it. I hope for the sake of everyone you’ve helped here and could continue to help in the future that you remain a part of this…[Read more]

I know what the OP is talking about when referring to what felt like the ball stuck under the skin. When I was high school I drove a ’65 Ranchero without seatbelts. One morning I hit the bank and ate the steering wheel. My top teeth went through my bottom lip and split it down to my jaw bone. The scar tissue feels like lots of hard little…[Read more]

He should hate it–it’s generic. It shows that rather putting thought and reflection and emotion into his devotional piece, he picked a dime a dozen flash piece off an artist’s wall and said “I want that one”. This was my first google search result on the topic of tattoos in the bible.
http://www.eaec.org/bibleanswers/tattoos_and_the_bible%27s_authority.htmThat guy interprets the bible to clearly say that Tattoos are not approved by God and that if you question any part of the bible, then you are not worshipping God in both spirit and truth.

I work in the computer industry as an engineer and as far as I can tell, most companies in this industry don’t mind. There is no stated policy where I work and the unstated policy is that they’re acceptable so long as they’re not visibly offensive.
Here’s an interesting site that isn’t official, but should be fairly accurate with the information…[Read more]

Sacramento, CA. I was raised in the mountains farther north here in California.
With regard to people not knowing Alaska is a state, I lived in New Mexico for a few years and it amazed me how many people don’t know that’s also a state. More often than not, when I would tell someone I was going to college there, they would respond with varying…[Read more]

Welcome Longinus. You sound like you’re in the same place in your life as my brother. He just returned from his second tour in Iraq in the last few weeks. He’s spending time with his wife and 3 little girls while trying to determine where he wants to go. Good luck and I hope you return safely.

My first tattooI really like the way this one looks. I mostly like the fact that it’s more than a picture on the surface of your skin and actually incorporates the fact that it’s on your skin into the artwork and appears as if the skin is torn back.
