I wasn’t too sure about it either until I saw the rest of the pics. It does flow nicely and looks good. I’m kind of in the same boat because I want a half sleeve, but need to work around a big Celtic cross. Hopefully this summer I’ll get working on it.

With that much solid black, it’s going to take some lasering to lighten it enough to cover. The free tattoo is going to cost you a small fortune. Then again, you can check Lowe’s or Home Depot for sales on belt sanders.

replied to the topic numbing gel – instillagel. advice please in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 13 years, 10 months ago
I used a numbing cream once for the second day of back to back sessions on my chest. Not only did it really not work, the artist said it made the skin very rubbery and difficult to tattoo. The parts where she tattooed after using the numbing cream healed awfully. It scabbed very heavily and lost a lot of ink.

I’m just being honest here. The Faith tattoo is not very good. the block letter one is OK but the placement is bad it goes against any flow of the body. The Tim Burton cartoony realism is very flat. The Phoenix and the Hena mask I like. The viking portrait is real dark. That is just how I see it.Don’t skimp on an…[Read more]

replied to the topic Where do you get your inspiration from in the forum Introduce Yourself 13 years, 10 months ago
When I started getting tattooed I was thinking about all different things, which is obvious by the different styles and images I have. I have tattoos with family members in mind,a half sleeve of my favorite horror movie, and some stuff I thought just looked cool. Inspiration for my tattoos came from all sources, including just flipping through…[Read more]

My first tattoo was a Celtic cross. I don’t regret the tattoo, but the size and placement of it. It’s about 5″x7″ on my bicep. Now I want a half sleeve, but there’s not much room left on the outside of my arm.

replied to the topic Sun screen? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 11 months ago
I usually use Coppertone Sport spray on, SPF 35. It works well and it since it’s water and sweatproof, I can go slightly longer without having to constantly re-apply.

Honestly I just don’t see the idea of an entire arm of text as a great idea. I would try try to come up with images that best represent the ideas in the lyrics and go with that. Maybe up on the bicep near the shoulder a banner with the words “What a Wonderful World.” Just my two cents. As far as the size of your arm, the artist will design it…[Read more]
