I wouldn’t say it’s terrible, but the skin tearing isn’t rendered well and judging from the glare you may be over moisturizing. An unscented, hypoallergenic lotion would work better. It looks like its coated with Vaseline or a&d. Post more pics after its completely healed.
I use fragrance free cocoa butter and it works great. Peeling is normal, just don’t pick or scratch at it and you should be fine. Not sure why the told you to use a&d ointment, but it’s not a good idea
i like to design my own tattoos, that way i get exactly what i want and get the best placement, and the guy who does my ink doesn’t have an issue with it at all. i was just taken aback by the comment made to me(by someone who has no ink). the latest one i got was a coverup that i drew myself, and it took a long time to make it symmetrical and the exact size i wanted it without losing any detail and making sure that it covered my crap tattoo 100%. it came out beautiful and my tattoo artist paid me what i felt was a great compliment by saying it couldn’t have been drawn more perfect. i think, overall, the idea is to make the client 100% happy. i’ve had some tattoos where i gave the artist a reference, and their personal touch to the work didn’t quite appeal to me. unfortunately, one instance ended in a particularly unsatisfying tattoo when the artist chose to freehand some stuff i didn’t care for. i’ve had many tattoos from several different artist, but i found one guy who’s style matches my own and defintely knows what i like and what i don’t, so i’ll keep going to him until i’m done getting tattooed. everyone’s had some great input, and i thank you all for sharing
There are lots of things to consider. There are topical microdermabrasion creams that can be purchased over the counter, but researching the chemical reaction should be done first. If you’re considering laser removal, always research the facility first and get a consultation. It can take over a year to completely remove a tattoo. Another thing to consider is consulting an artist about whether or not your existing tattoo can be covered up or somehow incorporated into the new tattoo. I know it’s tribal, but it really is amazing what some artists are able to do.
i appreciate your thoughts on this. anytime that i’ve brought in my own line drawings for a tattoo, it always seemed to me that my effort was appreciated.
you’re quite mistaken, i don’t have any “crappy” tattoos, at least not in my opinion. everyone has their own opinion on what makes good art. it is my personal opinion that you are narrow minded and childish. what i thought was a discussion thread appears to be nothing but slander, so i choose to be the adult and remove myself from what seems to be a vidictive crusade
the new york state department of health website does say regardless of parental consent, and the specific page regarding penal law 260.21 clearly says that the page hasn’t been updated since 2008. however, the new york state legislature website says that the ammendment allowing tattooing and body piercing of minors with parental consent was passed in january 2012. so apparently the legislation doesn’t know what they’re passing, if you’re saying its not ammended and they say it is. and yours is not the only thread i’ve read, just the only one i’ve commented on. you’re new to this site as well and it looks like you only joined to badmouth someone.
the email you posted says nothing about parental consent. are you the custodial parent of the child?
i’d like to first state that i never called you a liar. simply adding A4114A-2011 and section 460-a that ammends penal law 260.21 to exclude tattooing as unlawful dealing with a child is in no way calling you a liar. you’re being extremely hostile, especially considering the fact that you don’t even know me. the legality of your issue aside, publicly posting harassing and/or slanderous comments is unprofessional. is this an artist that you are well acquainted with, or just someone you have a grudge against?
