Because he mistakenly thinks that all hip hop songs are misogynistic and about thugs and gangstas. Some are, but not all.

Rock around the clock by Bill Haley and the Comets pretty much started the whole shebang, didn’t it? And it is still a catchy tune, people like it even now.
