I think it all depends on where the tattoo is being done. When I got my ribs done, it all hurt! There was no part of that tattoo that was enjoyable. When I got my leg sleeve done, the linning was fine and the shading hurt, and on both of my sleeves, the linning and the shading were fine. So I think it is more a question of what you are getting and where.

Thanks for the replies. I am going in on Saturday for some more work on my leg piece, so I’ll talk to my artist then to see what might be possible. Thanks.

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. As long as it dosn’t look exactly like the seal, you know.

You are a fucking dick, and you will most likley not be successful. If you want to be a tattoo artsit, then do it the right way. Don’t come to a public forum like this and blame everyone else for the way your life has turned out.

I have hairy legs too, and I just got my right leg done. The only way to really make it worth your while is to shave. I have both my arms done up in sleeves as well, and I have shaved my arms for years as to not hide my ink. It makes the tattoos look so much better to not be obscured by hair. Just my two cents, if you want an awesome leg piece, you gotta shave.

I am getting my profile picture on the front of my right leg and then a geisha on the back. I am starting it on Friday. Thanks for the welcoome. I’ll try and post some pics. I access this site from work manily and I don’t have a camera at home, but I’ll get some pics somehow. Thanks again.

Thanks for the replies. I have never minded the pain much either, until I got my ribs done and it was just a different pain then before. I’ll just gut through my leg piece. I will most likely have to do it in a few sessions anyway. Thanks again.
