Random tattoos are fine. You can get locked into a “theme” and then have an idea for a great tattoo, but it doesn’t fit.

Get the tattoos you want and just remember that you never have to explain your tattoos to anybody.

For continuing a tattoo I like to have three weeks in between sessions. Your skin may look healed on the outside, but deeper down your skin is still stressed.

What does your tattooer recommend?

I stay away from products containing petroleum products. No A&D, or Aquaphore for me.
When getting a tattoo I use Redemption, then switch to Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula. I moisturize my tattoos regularly and plan on doing it for the duration.

(Anything with the word “tattoo” in the name will probably cost more)
