Looks like Jondix to me.
While there are artists that can do this style, Jondix is my favorite and regarded as one of the best at this style.

I hear ya Peter. Good points.
You have some of the most incredible tattoos I have ever scene. I have to believe in addition to artistic talent, experience has to be a factor. Your choices of artists are the best of the best.

Thanks, that is useful information.
I’m fascinated with highly detailed tattoos. I probably should be looking into buying highly detailed art like sketches, prints, paintings, etc.. Mediums that will hold and maintain the detail better than living, aging skin.

Depends on the artist and their experience as well. Some newbies make extremely detailed tattoos that look like shit after 2 years, some very experienced and talented artists make the most detailed, realistic pieces that look good after 10 years. Hyper realism is fairly new, only a few have been doing it for more than 5-6…

Welcome to the forum!
I think a lot has to do with the way you take care of your tattoos.
I put sunscreen and moisturizer on with a miniature paint roller.
Keep tattoos moisturized and out of the sun and they, as well as your skin, will look good for a very long time.
Paint roller ?
Anyway, I know keeping away from sun…[Read more]

I’ve found correspondence with artists a little unpredictable. Quick, slow, no response at all. I’m know the popular ones get tons of emails and I think they each deal with it in a different way.

The only thing that is official for me at the moment is James Tex at the Summit Convention! Super excited as the line up of that convention is insane.
Also have Victor Portugal but we haven’t set a date yet. He asked me to go to Poland the same weekend as the Bay Area Tattoo Convention so I couldn’t do it.

I have the below tattoo on the front of my thigh just above the knee cap. It’s based on a carved wooden mask of a Bali goddess.
I want to expand on the tattoo adding something on the side of my thigh and maybe a little above. Don’t want to go down the leg.
I contacted the original artist, but he has not responded yet. Not really sure what…[Read more]

Thanks, I used 5 different artists. NYC has so many good artists, I want to take advantage of the opportunity.
For my next tattoo I am considering a color B&G mix, but have to discuss it with the artist. My skin is tan so I am concerned colors might look muted.
Wifey is pretty firm and does have a good point that I should not rush things. I…[Read more]

LST site is large, so there definitely is a lot of good information to be found.
Yeah, like most forums, some members are very blunt, single minded and impatient with new people, but I’ve also gotten very good advice.
I tried to post pics of my tattoos, but the post needs mod approval. I do have pics in my album/gallery.
I like what I’ve seen…[Read more]

Thanks.
I like your woman/mask tattoos.
My tattoos are all scuba related. Scuba skull, marine animals and a wood carved mask I got on a scuba trip in Bali.
