What do you have to hide the tattoo from?
Do you need to have it covered for work or family or anything like that?
If not where do you want to put it?
If it was me and I was into something big time I would put it on my neck. Then again I’m a tattoo artist and a musician so it’s kind of part of the trade. As soon as I get some time I’m getting…[Read more]

replied to the topic im haveing a really weird reaction to the ink in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 16 years, 10 months ago
It’s only happening with the red ink though?
Dehydration would cause the whole thing to raise not just a part.
Things do work in mysterious ways, I’ll give it that.

replied to the topic Wrist Tattoo… too feminine? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 16 years, 10 months ago
First Welcome to the forum.
Absolutely it’s for both sexes, I’ve given plenty of tattoos in the wrist area to both women and men. Every sleeve I’ve seen has had that area filled?…?
I’ve got a blue dove in my left inner wrist, granted it is part of my sleeve just not done, but still I have it. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable in your own…[Read more]

scrubmuncher is correct, quick turnover from the artist point of view, from the clients point of view maybe their obsessed, or finatical about the person sporting the original tattoo. Or maybe they cannot think for themselves?….
The artist has alot to do with the placement and the tattoo itself, so if they are pushing it then most likely the…[Read more]

Well usually a person has a reaction within the first couple weeks, but red is the color most people have an illurgic reaction too, due to the murcury in the pigment used. Most likely your having a delaid reaction somehow. Good Luck!

replied to the topic my new tattoo!! whats wrong with it!? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 16 years, 10 months ago
When an artist goes too deep it will blow out under the skin, when it scabs it means it was over worked. It’s an artists bad, and sometimes it does happen to the best artists, his or her needles could have a burr, or the client is bleeding bad and it’s hard to see where color stuck. It will heal fine as long as you keep infection away, and don’t…[Read more]

replied to the topic i need help with my new tattoo? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 16 years, 10 months ago
Hopefully it’s not MRSA (a staph infection imune to antibiotics), it’s going around big time in the south! Sometimes when a tattoo gets a contaminant in it will force the skin to dislodge itself from the point of contamination so it can rid itself of the problem. Do not remove the pealed skin. If at all it looks like blisters instead of peeling go…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum Shana! Ear tattoos are not for everyone but some like them and that’s ok. Pros are you can where your individuality out in the open, Cons are all the pricks out there who are judgmental, I for one don’t give a crap what others think, I would hope everyone else feels the same way!

replied to the topic My new tattoo..the black ink is raised and hard? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 16 years, 10 months ago
If a tattoo is raised out of your skin it was done improperly. That includes scabbing. It will not harm you,(as long as it isn’t infected), it just means The ink is in the wrong layers of skin. Use a triple antibiotic cream to help fight infection and do not let it out in the open in the hot African sun. Taking care of it properly will ensure that…[Read more]

replied to the topic i want a new tattoo on my foot, will my shoes mess it up? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 16 years, 10 months ago
With a tattoo on your foot it is best to get it when you can where flip-flops or sandels or something, your boots will not be good, as it cannot breath and a persons feet are sweaty and full of bacteria. It really is not a good idea, but if you have to get it, then take as much time to clean it and let it breath as possable. Good Luck!
