replied to the topic How do you decide that a tattoo is a good idea? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 3 months ago
I’m not sure that the negatively-perceived responses necessarily display snobbery; I think it’s just observational that a great many people go on to have these tattoos covered/lasered. Personally, I like some of the novelty stuff and believe it is, in many cases, more significant than the miami ink-inspired kanji/dragon/koi stuff supposedly…[Read more]

Just googled this randy fellow.
I think his ‘touch up’ appointments would be better spent having his horrid tribal subjected to the laser.

Hi,
I’m a black and grey fan, so that would be my shout. On a side note, I don’t want to be pedantic but with all the horribly misspelled tattoos floating about online I feel I need to point out that the correct spelling is angel.
I feel a bit of an arse, but if you decided to get some script it’s worth pointing this out as, obviously, not all…[Read more]

Minnie and Mickey?
Ignore me, florida doesn’t inspire.
On a serious note, I think the trick is to get something personal to yourselves (possibly, as mentioned above, an inside joke), but make it something that will hold up on its own. I say this because, as much as we don’t always like to entertain it, relationships are prone to running off…[Read more]

I have to say I agree with the (hopefully) ironically named topdog. I cringe a little bit every time somebody wants a tattoo the pertains to something sickeningly current or ‘trendy’.
I understand that we are always growing/changing/learning and being exposed to things and experiences that affect and influence us. Some opt to effectively ‘plot’…[Read more]

replied to the topic I need a head check. in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 6 months ago
Hi,
This is quite a pertinent point for me. I currently have tattoos on both shoulders (my right side reaching down just south of the average t-shirt sleeve). This Saturday (26th) I am booked in to have my right arm extended to a full sleeve (several hours over two days so I finally get to see where my threshold lies).
Obviously, I have thought…[Read more]

This forum is largely an asshole-free zone, but this thread was certainly started by one.

Maybe it’s just me, but I suspect this poster is spamming with attention-grabbing posts so that we ‘check out’ the link to the place from where he selects all of his tattoos. Apparently.
Two face tattooing threads simultaneously. Seriously?

there doesn’t seem to be too much of an issue here. Your artist has said he’ll look at it and touch it up if need be. Once it stops scabbing or flaking it is sufficiently healed for you to revisit your artist.
Don’t overcomplicate it.

This has opened my eyes. I was about to get a butterfly tattooed on my forehead, but then realised I am an aggressive person with a very aesthetic backside.
Dragon on the arse it is.

Again, sorry for your loss.
This is quite a relevant subject for me as I have my mother’s name in Thai tattooed on my arm. I had it done in Thailand and checked it with some locals ;-). I’d be inclined to patronise a Thai restaurant and ask for a translation. Obviously this would need to be checked, but perhaps your relative would be able to help…[Read more]

Hey,
Thanks for the rapid responses – no slouching on this forum.
Jubakuba, I’m planning a portrait of my niece, and a stone wall from Angkor Wat (Cambodia) carved with a Buddha image. These two will make up the main elements (portrait on inner forearm, buddha on outer), possibly with dove/leaf/rose detail.
I’m curious as to how the whole thing…[Read more]
