t would be really easy to tur that into a sugar skulls tattoo with roses etc and you wouldnthae to completely get rid of he spider tatt, jus maybe go a bit higher towards the shoulder.

if you take the photo to your tattoo artist he should be able to recreate it if he’s worth the money, jus print out the photo

i understand you :), yeah maybe a night sky or milkyway motif of some detailed skyline would make the words stand out, or in an opposite direction you can have it looking like its on an old piece of letter paper and maybe sign it with your dads signature if you have a sample of what it looks like….

its very hard for this sort of idea, as many people go through struggles (hence many many people have koi/ phoenix tattoos) this isnt a bad thing it just means its hard to get an original peace for this meaning, I like the fist idea and an artist could probs do something really good for you if you find the right artist, maybe find a quote you like about resiliance or pulling through to go around the fist,and maybe an image of some of your most precious things that you had to lose to make it more personal to you…..theres also many different symbols resembling strength and resilience and power ( which im guessing you have to have alot of to get through something like that) which you could also incorporate into it, get as many images as you like, find a good tattoo artist and have a sit in with them, then they’ll try and work you up a few different designs that you like 🙂 thats all the advice i got for now im afraid.

why squirtle? im jus saying u should think of a very good answer as people will ask u that question every time they see it, and will either think post explanation – what a tw@t or good idea…..

the problems your talking about dont seem to be problems with ink but problems with the ability of the artist, how much did you research into the place you went for your tattoo and the artist you picked to do it? there are quite a few posts on here where people have great designs but choose poor artists to carry it out and then wonder why it doesnt match up, maybe try asking someone at another shop to look at your design, i know alot of artists dont like touching some one elses work but you may find someone who will help you,

sounds like an awesomes idea, really like it, yes for the wrist one you might have a problem with unveveness, maybe try lengthening the second part I mean I know it’s a quote but it’s not against the law to modify it to suit, maybe put ‘will fall for anything’ or something to make it a 5-4 word split rather than a 5-3 word split. and as for the idea with the pocket watch very nice, erm not sure maybe have the chain of the pocket watch underling the quote, or even make the writing chain like *shrugs* and i’m sure you could kill many hours scourering for the exact perfect font to match the tone you want your tattoo to express, i know it took me long enough, haha. get well soon, hope i’ve been of some help 🙂
