Some of Matt’s work is really solid, but some others aren’t so impressive.

Looks like the style you’re going for should be ok.

That should be easy enough to turn into a full chest piece.

You don’t need a design so much as a theme – roses and vines, or whatever. Then find an artist that does the styling you like (possibly the current one) and have them draw something up based on your ideas.

On such a big canvas, you’ll have to especially factor in other work you might want in the future.

I like it so far. Can’t say I’ve seen any “steampunk” styled tattoos before. Maybe you’re starting a trend.

Sounds like it would be a visual clusterf*ck. Besides, the scales and/or feathers would have to be HUGE.

If you’re hooked on that photo, then you better start saving for some laser work 1st.

On the other hand, that photo is pretty abstract. Just about everyone who looks at a tattoo of that image is going to say “what is it?” anyway . . .

That’s a lot of ink in a short period of time.
