Not to sound mean, but one is pointing up…and the other is pointing down?
Maybe I missed the point… :p

You gotta give us a little more info.
What do you like to do?
What are you interested in?
What style of art do you like?
…etc. Then we can give you some help, rather than trying to come up with something when we have no clue what you like.

As someone who has the ribs done and is relatively skinny, I can tell you it does hurt a lot.
However it doesn’t hurt so much that I would think of getting it somewhere else. Really the worst part for me was the upper ribs close to the armpit, the lower ones barely hurt at all, but that’s just me.
I don’t know if this is actually acurate, but as I think about it the pain is similar to skinning your knee…except on your ribs…and it lasts a few hours.
But seriously, it’s worth it when it’s done ’cause that’s a great spot ๐
Just my thoughts.

Hey man,
And welcome!
I like the idea of getting words in various languages written on your side, but I think it would be better to have them written vertically, i.e. so that if you’re laying on your back you can read it. Also make sure the languages that use letters and not characters have a good script, cause that can ruin the tatto i feell. As for what word or phrase, perhaps a quotation or that has some significance to you or you just think sounds cool.
Anyways just my thoughts. Good luck with the ink!

Hey Matthew,
I love the idea of the e-book and I’d certainly love to read it. Also, I’m willing to share experiences and photos, etc. if you need.
Good luck with the bureaucracy.
Don’t let the man keep you down!

I dont know about the first question, but I feel like for the second question that sitting out in the sun in order to “fade away” your ink would just fade it enough to make it look like shit, instead of fading it enough so that you cant really see it anymore.
Never tried it before, just my 2 cents.

Get the quotation from “American History X” on your side or something.
“Hate is baggage.”
I think it would be sweet, but that’s just me.

No worries, I hope you find what you’re looking for.

From my experiences and relations, as well as my fathers experiences he shared with me, KH is right on the money (at least as far as western culture is concerned).
Remember, there are always exceptions (perhaps you are one?), but not everyone is as conscious with their decisions. In fact most of the people I knew at 16 were downright retarded and had no real life experience or common sense, despite the fact that they may have been good students or charismatic and what-have-you.
A person is smart, people are stupid.

I have one idea for you.
Going with the woodsy/outdoors/forresty theme for your father, you could get a “Tree of Life” done. It’s basically a large willow with branches going every which direction and represents the different paths of life and, eventually, death. There are some cool designs for it too.
Here are a few examples:

I like the last 2 the best, but those are just my thoughts.

It’s looking great!
I really like the placement with that design. The whole package just works.

Who did your ink?
The guy who did my first one had a bunch of skelton keys and such in his portfolio, so I’m curious.

It’s okay if the dong is in blacklight ink. Then you wont know till you’re at a rave or something.

I agree with Matthew that the should far less anger coming from this thread.
That being said, it is irritating, as someone who is in college and sees a lot of friends do the same, to see someone get a tattoo in some kind of asian script without even being bothered to find out what it means. It shows little self control not to write down the symbol and wait a few days while you find out the meaning before getting a permanent version on your body.
Now obviously, not everyone has the same tastes or needs deep and profound meaning behind their ink, but at least the knowledge of what it says should be commonplace.
Just keep that in mind Sibel, if you are to get anymore.
Take from this post what you will.

Here come the pics. This is about 2.5 hours of work. Could’ve maybe gone longer, but for some reason I was getting really tense and having a hard time focusing. It hurt a lot on the arrow near the nipple and the head of the dragon, but the rest wasnt too bad.
I really like how the head came out, he did a great job.
Next session in a month or so.
