I don’t like the way the skull is semi realistic and the bones look like dogbones from a cartoon.
Thanks for opinion….I think the realistic look works and is cool with the octopus, it gives me the idea that the octopus is going thru the skull in the bottom of the sea, which most likely would be a realistic skull.

Ok thanks. It’s been 5 weeks since I got mine done and all scabbing, peeling and shiny looks to be gone. Has that normal almost matte like I guess look to it now. I’m feeling like msmercury though and don’t want to go over it yet. But I have one of those small electric razors, like that are intended for bikini shaving or top of the toes or…[Read more]

It’s something I may offer again with a different artist… You never know when someone may jump on sterile supplies, but I’d always do cash. I know if I was tattooing people, I’d be tempted to treat it as a sterile procedure because people can be so… icky. 🙁
Yeah that would be cool if someone else…[Read more]

I’m at least a 20 percenter. But I have gone to an artist that charges by the piece but ended up with 2 sittings. Paid in full and tipped full 20 percent the first visit. For me it comes down to what I can afford to tip. I try to give a minimal of 10% but would rather give 20 – 30 % My artist likes me so he always makes sure I can afford to give him such a generous tip. He basically knows I can’t but do it anyways and it pays back just the other day he did 3 hours of work charged me 2. I also…

That’s what my original intention of the question was….like how do you decide how much cash to tip your artist?

I usually just tip cash after every session. I know my artist told me not to worry about it after he did a touch up session for me but I did anyway then he offered to buy lunch for my fiance and myself whenever we got the chance which hasn’t happened yet. I’ve also given the shop something I created as I etch glass…

Cash tipper as well, and I was always taught good service warrants 20+%.
Now, since I do medical stuff, I asked my last tattooist if he would like any wound care supplies: chucks, skin prep, tape for sensitive skin, sterile gloves for especially yucky folks (I almost always have a wound care bag in the car), and he…

The tattoo is cute, but I agree, I can see the lines that are a little off. I would suggest maybe talking to a couple new artists but it is a cute tattoo!

It is always hard to see the bad with something as personal as your tattoo. I walked around with my first tattoo thinking it was the best in the world and absolutely perfect. Well now I see blown lines non even shading in it.
For example on yours look at the top line on the wings they are wonky. But as I said overall it is…

Ok well thanks for the positive comments and suggestions. The butterfly tattoo I’m showing my artist is to use as reference, to make one like that but better, not I want it exactly like it and with color. And my hubby suggested pigtails instead of antenna which could be cute.
And “goo” is just the brand name for their line and it sounds like a…[Read more]

This is good but I don’t recommend the A & D ointment. I use aquaphor only for a day or so then Cetaphil, Aveeno, or Lubriderm.
Thank you for that 🙂
