Different inks (brands) fade differently. You might react strangely to a particular brand, not like an infection but your skin might not be quite as accepting if you get my drift. Best thing is to talk to your artist and ask if they used a different ink or anything or get them both touched up or gone over at the same time. It might be expensive but they’ll both def be the same shade of black after.

is the letters really noticable in terms of fade?

To answer your question, no. You are being Paranoid, not Obsessive Compulsive. Those are very different and distrinct distorders.

But of course the new ink is brighter than the old ink. In 6 months time they will probably look identical and as if they were done at the same time.

I dont know if this is normal but the letters some parts have kind of a reddish tint to them. Is that normal? I had all these letters touched up a month after i got them done and the guy made them black as can be, there were no faded spots. I always covered up from the sun and it healed well and i moisturized daily but some parts are faded :mad::mad: What gives?

that’s the problem. that’s the stuff that makes sunblock white.
i rub in sunblock in really well and then put body jelly on it (it’s like vaseline but natural) and it helps make the tattoo shine.

wouldnt vaseline like stuff make the sunscreen slide off? I also heard vaseline is bad for tats unless they only mean new tats.

It might be a good idea to try vaseline on top of sunscreen. I have emu oil and wonder if i use it on top of sunscreen if itll make the sunblock rub off. Cause emu oil is amazing for making your colours stand out.

There is one way to keep them permanetly black, and that’s too tattoo over them over and over again lol

All my tattoos are black/grey and even the solid black bits have faded since I got them in september, there’s no getting around it unless you actually did redo them every 6 months or so but that’s just silly.

Well sitting through all the pain is enough once, not something id exactly want to go through all over again down the road.

So my tats will look grey within a year? Just great! 😡 I spent all this money i was excpecting tats to not fade that quickly and that noticably. Now I really feel like crap.

Thanks for the feedback. How much will it fade? I dont want my tats turning grey within say 10-15yrs. If it happens when im 60 then sure thats fine (im 29 now).

THat was also one of the big reasons why i opted for black tats over colour, because they dont fade as quick as colour. But now im feeling so discouraged knowing that itll fade no matter what.:(
