Right, I forgot that. My name sounds somewhat hard and dark in English, since the last letter is missing. I suppose that’s why they called the servant like that.
My name is nothing special, the year I was born, it was quite popular. In school there were up to 4 Igors in my class simultaneously ; )
I do like it’s northern origins though, all archaic European names sound fantastic!
