I don’t know what kind of music you listen to, but rock concerts are a GREAT place to meet other people with tattoos. Probably the highest concentration of tattooed people in one spot I can think of outside of an actual tattoo convention.

My wife has a text tattoo on her foot. It says “I love you bunches” and is a direct copy of her Mawmaw’s handwriting from a birthday card she gave my wife right before she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Cover ups are usually sketchy at best. Those are indeed thick lines, but you never know. If you aren’t happy with it, don’t keep going with it. The more you have done the harder it is to cover. I would talk with your artist about your concerns.
