I did watch it and someone else asked this question earlier on here. Too much artistic licence, they wouldn’t know of conversations between the Queen and Prince Philip unless someone else was present and according to the film they were private, so that’s not correct. Plus showing the Queen weeping, when she was patently alone, did someone ask her if she did, you can imagine the reply!! Most of it looked over done, i was quite disappointed and wouldn’t watch it again. I have a strange feeling this was made for the American market, though with British actors. No one came out of this film with any credit, including Blair as he did a complete U Turn when it looked like the country according to the press was going to oust the Monarchy.
The thing that was true was that people did want a state funeral for Diana and a flag to fly at half mast at Buckingham Palace as a mark of respect, she was after all before the divorce a HRH Princess of Wales and those people who were against it should have been ashamed of themselves.
