I only have tattoos on my arms, but when I felt the inside of my elbow get done I nearly bit my lip off! I managed to keep my composure and sat still but the faces I was making when no one was looking would make you laugh lol. The skin is so thin and it’s always stretching when you move, same as behind the knee, that’s why they are so sore.

I think all colours scab more than black and grey, also depends on how deep the ink has gone into the skin.

I had the same problem with the inside of my elbow, a large scab formed and it become really itchy. I woke up to find a tiny hole where the scab was. I don’t think it pulled any ink away from the tattoo but it’s slightly noticable and starting to scab up again.
I’ve got another session dated, hopefully my tattooist won’t mind lol.

Of course this is someone elses artwork and to just get it tattoo’d on you would be weird but if it’s inspiration you need that sites always a good place to look, even though it can be a bit emo’ish.

If you aren’t set on getting it in English, try a different language. Chinese, Japanese etc would make the tattoos look more even and symetrical.

If it has to be in English though, why not add a few more words like, “That which does not kill me…” “Can only make me stronger”. 2 extra words could make a difference.
