Yes, nothing gets me pumped up more about getting a tattoo then seeing that tribal piece on Seth Gecko:rolleyes:. Hey, I’m a big tribal guy, but that thing has been done to death. If you need to watch a movie to get pumped for a tattoo, then I would say that you shouldn’t get ink.
Like the artistic work, but it looks a little dolfinish to me…body proportion/ratio is way off. The contortion of the body is fluid like a dolphin, rather than more lumbering like a whale. Again, like the work of the tattooist, but the “whale” looks a bit too much like shark/dolphin.
Terrible pic quality. It’s like those old hazy images of Bigfoot. C’mon, this is 2011. Get a better pic!
Two places where I will never get a tattoo: The stomach and the ass. For obvious reasons.
Yeah, I agree that it is a bad tattoo. No doubt. It doesn’t even look like a Phoenix. It looks like a chicken on fire. What the hell were you thinking OP to let them put that on you? I agree with the others that I would save up enough cash($2,000 minimum) to get the job done right. Find a credible artist and get it done. You don’t want that thing on you the rest of your life. Ugh.
Dude, no offense, but that tattoo looks like it is of a flower wilting. I don’t see the strength that is supposed to be consistent with a ram. When I first saw it, I thought it was a flower of some kind. It has weak edges.
First off, neck tattoos are..well…unless you are rich or a convict, I’d stay away from them. Besides, this design will not look good small(which it would have to be, unless your neck is as wide and long as your back). This design is meant to be on the back because of its size. A mini-me version on the neck won’t look as good.
These kind of rednecks give tattoos a bad name. Yet another barrier that we have to overcome thanks to these idiots.
I have a high threshold for pain. I once fell asleep while getting a tattoo on my back. Almost did it again a couple of weeks ago when I got a tat. I actually like a feeling of the needle scribbling your arm. I like to taste the pain.
Yeah, ink and tanning booths don’t really go together. Of course it will fade the tattoo quickly. Plus, I’ll never understand the obsession with tanning. You destroy the hell out of your skin and by the time you are 40, it will be wrinkled and have spots all over the place. Hell, I’ve seen mid 20’s kids already looking like hell because of sun exposure. Why age your tat and your skin so quickly?
A flaming apple with barbed wire? An apple wrapped in barbed wire. I’m just not on board with that look. Now, if your tat was just that NY skyline…that would be cool. Love the skyline, but not a fan of flaming, barbed wire apples
That tat has way too much going on, bro. There is no central focus to it. It looks like someone shot you in the chest. What the heck is it supposed to be? Not trying to bring you down, but this one could be a tattoo regret piece.
My only question to you is: Why get something like that?
Yeah, blah, blah, blah…Tribal is boring…blah, blah, blah. You know what I find boring? The endless tattoos of skulls, dragons, Kanji, koi fish, hears, stars etc. They are no different than the tribal that you guys are ripping on. Yeah, I don’t care if you like Tribal and I’m sure that you’d probably rip my tats, but I would do the same to you so it is all good. It is a personal preference and that is fine. But it is irritating to always hear people say that Tribals are out of style when the exact same thing could be said for ANY tattoo out there because it has probably been done before and is outdated as well. Tribals kick ass and for the guy that rips on his friend’s tribals, dude, that guy probably could care less what you think of it…
Tattoos are something that a lot of people think about doing. They say they’ll do it “one day.” Well, what if “one day” doesn’t come. I think it is the same with an adventure things like skydiving, bungee jumping, etc. Many people will always say, “I’ll do it one day.” Of course, many don’t. The same applies with tattoos. You can think about it forever and talk yourself out of it very easily. The question is: will you regret it when your life is near an end? As a previous poster said, we only live once, so why the hell not. Just make sure that you get a design that you think is cool(and hopefully has some semblance of meaning). Don’t get something like a heart with your BF or GF’s name on it. Get something that you feel represents a part of you, whether that is your personality,r physical nature, spirituality, etc.
I didn’t get my first tattoo until I was 29 years old. I’m 40 now, but still in love with tattoos. I’m getting another one in less than 3 weeks. At my age, I don’t have to worry about things like regretting a tattoo because I know what I want, don’t really care what other people think and know that my life is a lot shorter now than when I was 20, so I don’t really have to worry like some of you guys. It is actually pretty liberating and so nice to not really give a fuck about anything anymore. Freedom.
