I have every right to comment on another members tattoos.
Well Poxphobia never really asked for your opinion did she? So no, you sort of don’t. Now; YOU asked THIS FORUM for OUR opinion. And as such people here have the right to tell you if your tattoo is bad. Don’t come crying to random people on the internet if all you’re looking for is confirmation and/or attention. That’s just pathetic. ๐
@OP, I call forum troll.
it looks horrible, i need ideas, what tattoo would cover it up nicely?
I’m no expert, but I don’t see how you would be able to cover it up without using a big blob of dark colour. And even if I was in your situation, I’m pretty sure it would be a no-go. Best of luck though.
Wow, she does some nice stuff. Well currently I’m a student, so to put in the time and finances to go to Oslo for a tattoo hadn’t even crossed my mind. I still think I’d end up going with one of the guys from home though. But thanks for the heads up. ๐

Denmark, huh?
Well.. Line Marielle is very talented, but she has only been tattooing for about a year yet, and personally I’d be worried about how it heals. She has yet to see any of her work actually healed for more than a few months, and I personally wouldn’t get realistic work from her.. She’s just been guest spotting in my town, and I know she does beautiful work, but I’d still be skeptical of someone that new, and who’s been declared done with their apprenticeship in a year. But then again, I’m awfully skeptical of all hyper realism and believe most of it is gonna look like shit in max 5 years… :pAs for the other two. Sabines work seems to have some great depth, as well as a lot of variety, which is always good.
I’d personally go with Tony, I think his work is the most artistic, with good technique, creativity and variety. More my style. But all three are good artists!
Denmark indeed!
Ah, thanks a lot. I hadn’t even considered that about Line. Worth giving it some thought!

I spent nearly 10 years as a stationary engineer in a hospital power plant. That and during my railroad experience I’ve seen some pretty fucking awesome machinery.
I had thought about tattoos along those lines myself. I’m now thinking of a 20,000 leagues under the sea theme to tie all my time warped tattoos together.
Cog wheels are cool particularly when connected to cable spools and pulleys.
20.000 leagues under the sea definately sounds like an idea with some potential to it. Lots of cool stuff to find in deep sea motifs. ๐
Haha, my grandpa used to be an engineer aswell.
@Buttwheat, I guess you’ve got a point. Tony does some cool stuff, but I can’t decide whether his style would be too quirky for me. :p
Hmm.. Well I’m considering something with realistic cogwheels of some sort. Not bio-mech, just utilising plain ol’ cogs. Maybe with a bit of spiderweb or a rose or two.
I’m not sure though. One could incorporate it into something bigger I guess, and I did briefly consider what could be done in the genre of steampunk, but then again that seems to me like an idea that’s popular these days, but goes in and out of style on a regular basis, even though it can look pretty awesome. Whereas I’d like this to stand the test of time as well as a tattoo can do just that. ๐ I don’t know if you can envision something like that, haha.
Oh dear lord.
Tribal is tribal – with or without electric wiring – and it’s not really for me either.
To answer your question though, I do see what you’re going at. The circuit board-idea could probably work, but if I were you, I’d probably take the idea in some other direction, that definately wouldn’t involve tribal.
But oh well, if you really really really want that specific design, it’s your call at the end of the day. ๐
Thanks for giving me some takes on this! I guess you’re right about not wanting to micro manage a real artist. ๐ Anyways, I’m glad that it isn’t just my level of creativity that seems to be worth jack shit. :p
Dare I say the one on the left?
Oh that’s that Danish chick right? ๐
Edit: Nevermind, poxphobia beat me to it.
peterpoose
Also in Denmark ,
Awesome portraits. I think she’s one of the apprentices at that shop, Iron & Ink. ๐
Welcome
If you tell us where these parts are maybe we can help
Thanks a bunch. I completely forgot. I live in Denmark. A lot of my local tattoo artists don’t seem bad at all. It’s just that “not bad” isn’t exactly pure extravaganza either, you know? Peterpoose, the Iron & Ink shop (https://www.facebook.com/IronInkshop/photos_stream) listed on your Brag Art List does seem quite awesome compared to a lot of the other stuff I’ve seen around here. Either that or I haven’t been looking close enough. :p
If you guys have got any other recommendations I’d love to hear!
Thanks a lot. ๐
By the way, I think I just shed a tear. That looks very much like culinary genius at its best.
