that looks very odd. almost like you maybe had a blackhead or something directly in the line of the tattoo.

all tattoos fade a bit based on the fact the ink your seeing on the surface and as part of the scab are right on the surface and the ink is below the surface afterwards.

Best way to start this is where was it done in which country ie was it done in a specific town in what country or state etc?

The tattoo was done in Spain but my husband thinks that that original design was done by a German tattoo artist…. I have looked on the internet but no much luck… he also said it may be called Apocalypse or End of the world. …

Yes the guy who did it wasn’t to my standards lol you get what you pay for 😆 I have many tattoos but I paid for very good work at the time my husband wasn’t lol thank you will look into it x

a $30 tip if it was all you had available is great.
Its also a bit of a learning process for the artist in question. They will likely now recognise the specific difficult bits that meant it took 6 hrs and not 2 and will quote more accurately for the same type of tattoo in the future.

shine does tend to be just after you first get it done. as the skin flakes off over the next few months the upper layers will not have the ink only lower laysers which hold it . so short answer yes it should start to be not so shiny over time.

Laser Removal works well on black ink so you could quite possibly lighten it substantially and then have a coverup tattoo larger than the original scorpion. that way you dont have to integrate it at all into a design if it doesnt fit naturally.
Also if your not happy with it you may as well remove it if you can and have something you love instead -

I really like it too.
Meaning behind tattoos can be just as personal as anything else in life. I like the fact this one has specific meaning to your own 9/11 expoerience.
Must have been a crazy time to be in the US military then.

I dont think we have any posts specifically on white over black ink oin here. more specifically because we dont allow a lot of talk about application of tattoos from an artist point of view in the main forums.
But we have artists who may have done it in the past so was asking them. -

You can go over black ink with white. with some success also from some of the photos i ahve seen around.
Might be worth speaking directly to your artist in advance to test out some different inks for the job. hopefully some artists will chip in here and provide some brand names or examples of their work. -
