Just “I’ll place a leaf here, and one there!” with no regard for how it all works together. Artists usually have a very good eye for just this, but whoever did this design, doesn’t. Or they were having a terrible day.
The top leaf is what made me notice, the placement should have been more centered.
Also, if you notice the top leaf was centered as much as possible. The artist placed the leaf there because of my bros existing tattoo above it. My bro was set on having it there do the artist had to make it work.

For me it’s two things; The linework is uneven. Not everywhere, but it is in quite a few places.
It’s the composition of the design.. It looks like it was drawn by someone who doesn’t get design. Just “I’ll place a leaf here, and one there!” with no regard for how it all works together. Must have had an off tattoo. The dagger and “light of the world” one was done by the same artist.

Like you I don’t like the top one at all. It just looks off and the line work is as wonky as hell.
Did I miss sarcasm?

+1. all are solid but the ship is my fav. credit the artist please.
I believe Joe Reno from Shogun Tattoo in Pasadena, California did the ship one. He also did the eagle. As for the others they were done by Jason Bradshaw out of Golden Eagle Tattoo in Santa Barbra (occasional guest spots) but mainly resides at Hellcat Tattoo in Florida!

Whats the name of the Artist?
His names Jason Bradshaw. He use to work at Golden Eagle tattoo up in Santa Barbra but moved to Flordia and now works at HellCat tattoo (I believe) Every 3-4 months he comes back for 1-2 weeks to do some work since he has such a big clientele in California.
Well done tattoos!
I don’t mind if it tattoos have meanings behind them, but when they do they make them that much more special!
Congrats! Can’t wait to see your future additions!
Thanks guys! I appreciate it!
And idk if that comment about traditional tattoos was a backhanded compliment!? Haha

The less fatty tissue beneath an area, the more it raises in heat or cold for me.
Probably remains that way for 12-24 hours after exposure to unusual hot or cold. I think it’s just a natural reaction to irritation/inflammation, but doesn’t really mean there’s a problem.
What if it remains longer than that?
